You can’t sacrifice quality for a discount. You should try to look for a durable memory foam mattress because the way it is built, the memory foam is actually bonded to the core of the mattress.

Density is the most important factor of memory foam. You should look for a minimum of 3 inches because that’s what is needed to provide maximum comfort and allow enough depth for it to conform to your body.

If your memory foam mattress is too thick, your body will feel like its in a hammock which sounds like a good feeling, but misses the point of memory foam. If the mattress is too thin, that’s not good either. Between 3 to 4 lbs is what you want to look for to get softer and more comfortable feel.

Offering well over 3 inches of memory foam, the Healthy Foundations 10 inch memory foam mattress and 13 inch luxe memory foam mattress, is one to reckon with. The former uses 3.2 to 3.4 lb memory foam. It has been subjected to real world testing where it 330 pounds roller made 30,000 passes over the mattress which was equivalent to 30 years of daily use.

That’s pretty impressive but the point is that you want to make sure your purchase is durable. You want to ensure that any memory foam mattress you buy, no matter what brand, has been subjected to these kinds of tests. Have confidence that your mattress is durable once you see positive results form this kind of mattress torture.

The 13″ Luxe Memory Foam Mattress is made up of two layers of 2″ 5 lb memory foam, and has 1″ Super Soft foam in the cover quilting. Because of this layering technique, the mattress, Even though it contains the higher 5 lb foam, it is this layering technique that gives a very luxurious and supportive feel.

Another benefit it offers is the cover cooling technology it has which they coined as CoolMax. However, don’t take things at face value and check what is used as filler for the memory foam. Cheap manufacturers will use cheap fillers. You want to stick with a reputable company like Tempur-Pedic.

Another company offering memory foam mattresses is IsoForm. They offer both covered and non covered mattress pads. The prices range from $110 to $250. Bragada is another company offering memory foam mattress pads. They do so at three different entry levels and have three models (traditional, ventilated and quilted).

The best memory foam mattress according to all the reviews out there is the one by Tempurpedic. Their memory foam mattresses are pretty well known. The bad thing is that they don’t offer a trial period where you can bring the mattress home and try it out.

If all of these mattresses are two expensive for you, you can elect to use a memory foam mattress pad instead. These are basically a thinner layer of memory foam that you just throw on top of your existing mattress. They’re cheaper but you don’t get the full experience of a memory foam mattress or bed.
