The 1st Law of Personal Energy - You Have Four Sources Of Energy
Posted by Gerry Geneva on September 23rd, 2009 filed in Sleep HealthPlato once said that a physician can’t properly treat a disease until he/she has had it. There is a bit of truth to that. I find that it is especially true when you talk about adrenal fatigue or chronic fatigue. I work with people all the time who are always exhausted, yet they don’t know what is wrong. After consulting with their doctor they don’t feel any better because all the doctor recommended is eat better or exercise more. Although this advice is meaningful in some cases, a lot of the time is just not that helpful.
This same story has been told to me time and time again. I too was tired and fatigued everyday until I had a realization. This realization changed everything for me.
My realization is what I call the 1st Law of Energy. It is that energy comes from more than just the physical. Energy is all around us and as energy beings we receive energy from many different modalities.
Just think for a moment about the varying situations you’ve experienced in which you have felt a surge of energy enter into your body.
How did you feel when your favorite team won the Super Bowl. Were you suddenly filled with energy?
What about after the birth of a child? How did you feel?
What about when you met the man/woman you married. Do you remember the energy, the “sparks” between you?
What about when you landed that big promotion?
All of us can think of situations in which we received energy from an exhilarating experience. This wasn’t necessarily physical either and how much you slept of what you ate wasn’t even a factor. You felt energized.
My point is, energy is more than just physical (i.e. eat better, get more sleep, get some exercise). We experience energy from all 4 areas of our being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. If we want to get to the highest level of personal energy for ourselves, we need to focus on all 4 sources of energynot just the physical.
