What You Should And Shouldn’t Do With An Electric Blanket

If you use an electric blanket in the winter it will keep you warm and toasty. If you are pregnant you aren’t suppose to use an electric blanket because of electro magnetic shock. Studies have shown that using this blanket while your in your first trimester can cause harm to your unborn child.

Also, it is advised to not keep an electric blanket on high just in case a wire gets too hot and it could start a fire. So make sure you leave the electric blankets on low while you are asleep. If you need to turn it on to warm up your bed while you are asleep make sure you do not leave the house in case of a fire.

It is great to have your bed warm before you get into it because no one likes climbing into a bed that is cold in the middle of winter. Electric blankets are not too expensive and people usually find that they are very well worth the price you pay for them.

Never put an electric blanket on a small child that cant talk because it can burn them and by the time you know it could have already done bad damage to them. Always inspect the wires on your electric blanket to make sure that you cant see any of the wires. If you find that any of the wires are bare, make sure to throw away that blanket and get a new one.

It is possible to get electrocuted if you have bare wires on your blanket. Make sure to get a new blanket at least once a year to ensure that the wires don’t get exposed and hurt someone or cause a fire. Especially if you use it more than ten hours a day for more than three months.

If your blanket fails to work, don’t try to fix it yourself. Make sure to go get a new blanket so that you don’t have a fire. The company cannot guarantee your repair work. If you follow the guidelines then you shouldn’t have to worry about any kind of malfunction.

Always follow all directions that come with your blanket to ensure that you are using it right and that you and your family is safe from fires.
